I’m not sure how I feel about it, but amidst decluttering and decluttering and decluttering the domicile, we found this enormous OTTOMAN to apparently FILL a great portion of our newly liberated living room. And I’m the one who went to get it and bring it home. Either way here it is:

The other thing about it is it costed $200. Compared to other comparable pieces I searched, it’s a good price for a high quality item. But, forgive me when I say this; I’ve just never bought such a nice ottoman before. I guess I’m partially uncomfortable for being made aware all over again of enjoying such a comfortable lifestyle. (So yes the fight for social justice continues.)
So, Kitten likes it fine, just not as much as stinky shoes.
Most importantly, it’s a good size for Mah Hubsand.

Yeah, I think it was a good pick. It’s not the ottoman’s fault for not being long enough for my daughter’s legs. Nothing is. (o;

CJ: [Whispering.] Mamma. [Pause.] Mommy? I have something to show you.
Mom: [Mumbling] Hmm… [opens eyes slightly].
CJ: See? It’s a dead battery! I put Elsa tape on it. Then I covered it with clear tape and put a stamp on it.
Mom: Oh! [??]
CJ: [Gently places treasure on mom’s face.] For you.
Mom: Thanks honey.
CJ: You’re welcome. [Leaves bedroom.]
Mom: 
[Moments later we are entirely surrounded by water, I mean, cats.]

D&D “Gameboard,” character sheet & improvised figurines…
“Dad? My friends and I were wondering if you could lead us on a little quest, you know, so we can build up some points…”
Now, I don’t know anything about Dungeons and Dragons except that my son and hubsand have recently jumped into the fever full on. And while I don’t exactly understand what my son is talking about, I do know that this is a rare and beautiful request.
Hubsand considers, I urge him on, and it’s game on. Here are the boys, engrossed, for the next several hours. No internet, all “Quest.” Pure imagination!

Side note: Considering my hubsand is the Chef of these kids’ school, I just wonder what it is like for them having this relationship with him in person, lol.
Anyhoo… I’m just glad as hell I was finally able to clear out the junk obstructing the office. No sooner did that happen did the D&D battles start taking place in there.
More to come for sure, considering my Boy is positively HOOOKED.

OMG U Guys: He raised over a million dollars within the first three hours of announcing. Then he went on to raise 6.5 million dollars in the next 24 hours! (Fun Fact: This was more than the DNC raised in all of January; F* the DNC anyway!!)
