So… last week I got embroiled in trying to present EVERYTHING there is to know about my son’s school at Back to School Night. Of course it was a ridiculous idea, an impossible task and a floppy mess in the end (EXCEPT for the new comprehensive contact sheet that was created). YET, as a first attempt at “Theatre of Place,” and in keeping with my training to “FAIL SPECTACULARLY,” it was a great success. Especially because many, many great things came out of it. Nerve-wracking as the whole experience was, all was made worthwhile by getting to perform and debut our NEW SCHOOL SONG as a finale. Here it is (and remember to click the title of this post in order to view the video online): Enjoy!

Thank you especially to Lou Pingitore & Judy Bright for performing it with me, and to Mary Frawley for videoing!
To “fail spectacularly”! What a concept- I love it! Great song, too 🙂
Your singing makes the world brighter! The most ridiculous failures are often the inspiration needed to make more great art – both from you, and from all the kids who listened to you sing.
