Shining Light: The Magic Flute

Randomly for St. Patrick’s Day this year got to attend a gorgeous family-friendly presentation of The Magic Flute at Boston Symphony Hall with Boston’s Youth Symphony Orchestra.  Amazing.

Here is Queen of the Night’s incomparable aria (from the internet although the one we saw was every bit as good!) [2:58]:

 

I can think of nothing like it.  Such transcendence of the human spirit.  No wonder Mozart’s music is considered worthy of the Gods!
