Now this is just plain mean!*

————————————————-

Donald Trump came for Steve Schmidt (founder of the Lincoln Project) on Twitter this morning.

This is Steve’s reply:

“You’ve never beaten me at anything. This is our first dance. Did you like, Covita? We are so much better at this than your team of crooks, wife beaters, degenerates, weirdos and losers.

You are losing. We heard you loved Evita. You saw it so many times. Where will you live out your years in disgrace? Will you buy Jeffrey Epstein’s island? One last extra special deal from him? Or will you be drooling on yourself in a suite at Walter Reed? Maybe you will be in prison?

I bet you fear that. The Manhattan District Attorney may not be around to cover for you or your crooked kids anymore. Eliza Orlins doesn’t believe in different sets of rules for the Trumps. What about the State Attorney General? You know what you’ve done.

Oh, Donald. Who do you owe almost $500 million in personally guaranteed loans to? It’s all coming down. You think you and your disgusting family are going to be in deal-flow next year? Are you really that delusional?
You are lucky Chris Wallace interrupted you after Joe Biden said you weren’t smart. You started to melt down. That’s the place that hurts the most. Right? Fred Sr., knew it. You’ve spent your whole life proving it. You aren’t very smart. You couldn’t take the SAT on your own. What was the real score? 970? We both know you know.

Are the steroids wearing off? Is the euphoria fading? Do you feel foggy? Tired? Do you ache? How is the breathing? Hmmm. Are you watching TV today? We will have some nice surprises for you. Everyone is laughing at you. You are a joke. A splendid moron turned deadly clown.

Did you watch Martha McSally in her debate against American hero, fighter pilot, test pilot, astronaut Capt. Mark Kelly? She is so embarrassed by you. She is ashamed and full of self-loathing for the choice she made in following you over the cliff. She is in free fall now. She will lose, like most of them, because of you.

We hear from the White House and the campaign everyday. They are betraying you. They are looking to get out alive and salvage careers and their names. It’s Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner vs. Donald Trump Jr., and Kimberly Guilfoyle on the inside. They are at war over scraps and who gets to command what will be the remnants of your rancid cult.
It’s almost over now. You are the greatest failure in American history. You are the worst president in American history. Disgrace will always precede your name. Your grandchildren and great-grandchildren will grow up ashamed of their names.

One day, I suppose there will be some small and not-much-visited library that bears your name. It will be the type of place where a drunk walks by, staring at the wall for a minute, before deciding it is beneath his dignity to piss on. That’s what is waiting for you.

Joe Biden is a better man. He’s smarter. He’s winning.

Do you remember when you didn’t want to name Donald Trump Jr., Donald because you were worried about him being a loser named Donald? You were right about that. He is.

But it is you who will be remembered as America’s greatest loser. You will be crushed in the election.

Shhhhhhhh.”

————————————————-

Poor Donald.

And I only mean that literally, on account of his ruinous debt and wholesale abject moral bankruptcy.

Gawd I so badly want to fast forward to February 2021 so we can playback these next four months safely in rear view.

Dystopian Novel: October 8th 2020 Edition

Thursday, October 8th 2020

Heather Cox Richardson is a political historian.

October 8, 2020 (Thursday)

I’m going to be brief tonight, folks, but here are the main stories I’m watching:

On October 8, 2020, the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, appears to be melting down. Over the course of the day, he has called for the imprisonment of his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, as well as his own predecessor, President Barack Obama, and called Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris a “monster” and a “communist.”

This morning, he announced that he would not take part in the planned October 15 town hall debate if it were turned into an on-line event. But then, after Biden said he was willing to postpone the debate so Trump could take part, said he would participate in another debate on October 22.

He released a video addressed to seniors, who are leaving him in droves, calling them “my favorite people in the world,” and speculated that he could continue to hold rallies as early as this weekend, before his quarantine period is over. He called into the Fox News Channel twice, ranting. Of his bout with coronavirus, he said: “I’m back because I’m a perfect physical specimen and I’m extremely young.”

He is erratic enough that tomorrow, the House will begin to consider a bill seeking to enforce the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, designed to provide an exit ramp for a president who is experiencing physical or mental impairments that make him unable to lead the nation. The bill, advanced by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, will not pass, but it will keep focus on what seems to be the president’s precarious mental state.

Vice President Mike Pence, who was supposed to go to Indiana to vote tomorrow, after campaigning in Arizona, has cancelled his scheduled events and is headed back to Washington, D. C.

Everything emerging from the White House today is murky and confused, but there is one event that is crystal clear: the FBI announced today it has stopped a terrorist plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and put her “on trial” for treason. Six men have been charged in the plot, and are now facing life in prison if convicted. Another seven have been charged with planning to storm the state capitol building and start a civil war. They face up to 20 years in prison.

This afternoon, Whitmer called out Trump for refusing to denounce such domestic terrorists. At last week’s debate with Biden, Trump told the white supremacist neo-fascist Proud Boys to “Stand back and stand by.” In April, after Whitmer shut down the state to combat coronavirus, Trump tweeted: “LIBERATE MICHIGAN!” and at least three of the thirteen men now charged were among those who entered the state’s senate chamber with guns on April 30 to protest Whitmer’s stay-at-home orders.

Tonight, rather than express sympathy with Whitmer or denounce the terrorists, Trump attacked Whitmer on Twitter. Attorney General William Barr, who has been out of the public eye since last the coronavirus super spreader event at the White House Rose Garden in honor of Amy Coney Barrett, Trump’s nominee to take the seat of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court, has not commented.

And. 👏 We. 👏 Still. 👏 Have. 👏 Relatives. 👏 Supporting. 👏 This. 👏 Incomprehensible. 👏 Criminal. 👏

I can’t explain that to my children.

Or to myself.

MOM: [Muttering to herself.]. Noooo! Dang it!

BOY: Here! [he says helpfully, extending out both feet wearing slippers.]. Have yours!

Homeschool: 7th Grade P.E.

Thursday, October 1st 2020

MEANWHILE… my son is sitting at his computer for “Physical Education.”

He just sat and watched a video of “The Cupid Shuffle.” and is now listening to the “teacher” stumble through trying to read a dry description of the “artifacts” which they are to make representing things they learn in P.E. throughout the semester, which they are then to share through a “Slide Deck” for final grading.

No word as to whether they will be DOING “The Cupid Shuffle.”

Do rapid consecutive face palms count as “exercise?”

Distance Learning IRL for a Change

Thursday, October 1st 2020

Today ClaraJane gets to go to school In Real Life! Her teacher has arranged a 3 hour socially distanced morning session for about ten 4th Graders outside on the patio.

Who could have foreseen than going to school in person for three hours would be noteworthy. Hit for this kid it’s the first time in 7 months!!

I can hardly believe these words I’m writing. Well needless to say, Girlfriend is all about it.

God’s Fingerprints

Tuesday, September 29th 2020

ClaraJane is on the fence.

ClaraJane says the clouds look like they have god’s fingerprint.

“Like god was making the clouds and accidentally left his fingerprint there,” she says. “So I can steal his identity now, because I know his fingerprint.”

I did not correct her. Normally I would remind her if there is a god, *She’s* surely female.

But with the way 2020 is going, “he” may just be a “man” after all.

It would explain a lot.
