1st and 4th Grade
They actually posed like that spontaneously.
Back to School for Daddy, too!

#MyKids
Here’s how it went down.
First While Gavin was puzzling through which pants and shoes even still FIT him anymore, I had to wake the pending 1st Grade Superhero from her Superhero Sleep:

After the absolutely most enriching and full summer imaginable, I wasn’t the only one ready for them to (all) go back. They were ready too:
First stop at school; BREAKFAST.

Waffles, sausage, corn muffin….
Daddy’s Pay Dirt:

See you at lunch Daddy (and dinner and every day)…
Hard to put a price on job perks like that.
Then a quick hi and hug to the World’s GREATEST “Family Liaison” and overall PERSON, Mary Frawley:

No wonder that it’s Mary that we love!
This year Gavin and ClaraJane’s classrooms are across the hall from each other in the same section of the (otherwise very long building). And although I escorted them each to their respective classrooms (seeing parents and families whom I love along the way)… somehow each kid just drifted into class and that was it. I mean I waited around expectantly to say hi to teachers etc., but somehow I was not needed. Like, it is just not about me or something; can you believe that!?
MILES: The only bummer this year is that Cousin Miles is no longer at this school. Maybe they care for his new school better. We look forward to seeing him in his new home soon, all of ONE town away!

In any case, what’s a mom freshly relieved of her children to do?
Drive strait back across town to the best coffee & wifi around… to blog about it of course.

Happy Back to School to ME too!
Coffee. Wifi. Coffee. Wifi. Coffee… repeat!

Looks like your schoolies were happy about returning to school as well. Congratulations on your action-packed summer. Too bad ClaraJane doesn’t like those fancy shoes Grandma Z sent!!!
Thanks for the update and love to all and hugs. GP
