Today was my first time ever giving a speech at a political rally!
“I’d rather stand up and fight for what I believe in than stay home and accept what I don’t.”
Here I am trying to work up my nerve [@min. 2:55], and then going for it [from 3:45-6:45].
2016-12-19 DECEMBER19.US MASS STATEHOUSE RALLY TO STOP TRUMP [12:34]:
(Thanks to my friend Zareh and to Facebook Live for the footage.)
Here are some media coverages of the event:
Boston Globe: Mass. protesters join nationwide anti-Trump rallies
CBS Local News (video): Protests Held At Statehouse As Mass. Presidential Electors Meet To Cast Votes
Patch.com: Anti-Trump Protesters Gather at State House Before Electoral College Vote
My favorite signs:
It was inspiring and humbling meeting this wonderful human being and activist from DemocracySpring.org, Renaldo Pearson.

Renaldo Pearson of DemocracySpring.org
Martin. Malcolm. Harriet. Rosa. Marcus. Shirley.
BECAUSE OF THEM WE CAN.
Frederick. Coretta. Bayard. Betty. Medgar. Mamie.
What a treat to see my friend Zareh today!
AND to start becoming acquainted with “the People’s Building,” our own State House.
More to come.
Vigilance every day is the price of freedom.

Jenny great spirit and a good job. If your dedication to sound government had taken place in Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania before the election it would have been NO TRUMP. You should consider running for the city council. love
Wow Pops that means a great deal to me coming from you. Thank you. And forget Santa; we’re so happy YOU are coming to town …TODAY! Travel safe!
God Help America, indeed. Daily vigilance is the price of freedom.
Thank you, Jenny. It’s people like you who will save this country from destruction.
