Man on Horse

January 6th, 2008

I am so happy to retrieve this footage from oblivion.  I present for your viewing pleasure, Man on Horse.  Specifically my dear husband (then fiancé), in Ohio, back in 2008:

PS: If it sounds like I say something like “I just peed my pants!” at the end there, it *may* have something to do with my being rather pregnant with our first child at the time.

Old Photos: Mom’s Wedding

May 1976

Here is my mom on her wedding day -to her second husband George- telling me she is moving away from California now to a place called Boston.

I’m pretty sure this was also “Mother’s Day” 1976*

As a mother of young children I will never, ever understand this.

But as a grown as woman whose childhood is over, I understand it completely.  It just is.

Besides, she gave me and my brother some really groovy 70’s style suitcases so we could come visit her Back East.

And we did.

PS: Turns out yes this was Mother’s Day; May 9th 1976.  I’ll be damned.  I was today years old -nearly 50- when I figured that out.  How ’bout that.
